Swami's Club Races

Swami’s puts on 1 to 2 club race series each year for its members. The race series consist of several events spanning the full spectrum of bicycle road racing. The goal is to provide club members with low-key, safe, fast and fun racing close to home. The races are open to Swamis members only and there are no fees to race. Prizes and bragging rights are awarded to individual race and overall series winners.

Categories

Rider’s race in one of three categories based on their abilities: Category C – fun, Category B – fast, Category A – fastest. Category placement is generally self assigned, however sandbagging is discouraged (and most likely punished) and the race director has final say on placements and adjustments.

Point System

Points will be awarded for each race: 10 points to the winner of each category, then 8, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 points for places 2-7 in each category. All racers will receive at least 1 point for participating. There will also be preem and KOM points up for grabs in some events. At the end of the series, the racer with the highest accumulated point total in each category will be crowned category champion.

Rules

• Swamis members and invited “Friends Of Swami’s” only
